Stargate Project

1978–1995

Umbrella name for the U.S. government's two-decade remote-viewing program (successively Gondola Wish, Grill Flame, Center Lane, Sun Streak, and Star Gate), run through SRI International and later SAIC for Army intelligence and the DIA. Terminated in 1995 after a CIA-commissioned review concluded it had no operational value - though its statisticians found a small but real effect.
